Helping you spread the word

Happy October!

It’s officially the fourth quarter, which is very hard to believe. It’s time to double down on year-end communications efforts, and Embolden is here to help you do just that!

If you’re among the more than 200 community foundations who are Embolden clients, you know that our cut-and-paste material means you never have to start writing your marketing materials from scratch. Thank you for your business!

In this month’s content, we’re helping you get the word out about field-of-interest funds and designated funds. These fund types are important, as you know, because they’re eligible recipients of Qualified Charitable Distributions from donors’ IRAs. Many donors and their advisors are still not aware of this option. Plus, it’s important to always reinforce the benefits of leaving a legacy gift through an IRA beneficiary designation. Again, many donors and their advisors are not aware of the significant income and estate tax benefits of this technique.

If your community foundation is not yet subscribing to Embolden content, please do reach out. We are happy to share sample content as well as examples from other community foundations. The sky’s the limit on all the ways you can deploy the material in newsletters, blog posts, and on your social channels.

We’re also grateful that we’re now working with dozens of community foundations through our consulting services. We’ve been in your shoes, and we know how hard it can be to find partners to assist with a campaign, offer training for your team, or help you develop a new strategic plan. The Embolden team works only with community foundations—we are truly committed to the sector..

Finally, and most importantly, our hearts go out to the millions of people affected by Hurricane Helene. It’s heartwarming to see that community foundations in the affected areas and across the country are making it as easy as possible for people to donate to relief efforts.

Thank you for the opportunity to work together!
